Apocabigbang... phew

So, that's my apocabigbang fic done and posted and out of the way.

*dies*

So maybe I procrastinated on the editing a little...

It's not like it's taken me all day. I went to church and had lunch (and played one game on the wii fit, which we now have and which is awesome).

Okay, so other than that, I took all day. And I don't want to know how many inconsistencies I missed.

But it's over.

If you're interested in reading it, it's over at my fanfic journal here

...and I just realised I forgot to put inverted commas around my urls in the links when I posted it to the comm. *facepalm*

Ah well, I can't do anything until the mods have looked at it anyway.

I'm going to go and not stare at a computer screen for a while, won't that be fun?

Now reel_merlin.

I'd forgotten how much I love Gundam Wing.

You know that feeling of warm fuzziness you get when you realise the fandom you thought was dead and buried has actually just gone underground?

No? Shame. It's a bloody brilliant feeling.

The past week... the excitement of mundanity

I hate being ill.

Not really ill, though I hate that too, for entirely different reasons, just ill enough that my head can't quite concentrate right and every now and then I get a horrible headache and my eyes burn and I can't quite breathe without feeling tired... though at the same time I'm not ill enough to do anything about it and I should be able to go around doing everything I normally do because I am not a pathetic wimp.

Okay... so that last bit was a lie, I am a pathetic wimp atm, but that's what I hate. I wish I could just get on with everything.

A good thing happened yesterday, though. Well, good for me, probably not so good for the poor woman on the till. I managed to get a book for free from WHSmith. ^_^

I was buying a book for me with one of the book tokens I have had lying around forever (and they're running out now, but I'm over 21 so no one sends them to me any more *WOEZ*) and I decided that I'd get my Mum some books for her birthday at the same time. The books I got for her were buy one get one half price and £6.99 each,. My book was £7.99 and my token was for £10.

So, I go up to the desk and hand it all over expecting about 7 quid or something, because my brain hadn't worked up to doing it's maths properly.

'£1.48 please.'

My brain just about short circuits trying to work out exactly what had happened. After all, even if she'd only scanned in my book and one of Mum's books it would have been more than that. If she had scanned in both of Mum's books with the offer then it would have been less than that (I had worked that one out). I hand over the money and try to work out what had happened.

Turns out she had scanned my book and one of Mum's books and then put the offer on Mum's book so that, in effect, rather than two books for the price of one and a half I got two books for the price of a half.

I left pretty damn quickly.

OH! and another sort of weird happy maybe sad thing: I went to the cinema on Monday (alone, because I am just sad like that) and I was the only person in the screen. It was a strange mixture of 'HOW AWESOME IS THIS! I CAN MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT THE DISNEY LSD TRIP' (I went to see Princess and the Frog, yes I know I'm mentally five years old :P) and 'Dear God this is sad - I am a 21 year old who has gone to see a Disney movie on my own...'

It was pretty cool though, both the film and the experience. I had smuggled in my own sweets, and it only took me about 50 minutes to walk there when my brother said it was a 1 1/4 hr trip. Good exercise... that's what I tell myself.

VOTE PEOPLE! VOTE! and if you don't know a fandom, there will be picspams and comments galore below which will help you sell your vote to the most deserving character pimper.

Several of my favourites are LOSING! And I can't tell who I want to win... AAARGH! The indecision has happened already. But I'm actually a little irrtated Dean's in front again in the Supernatural selection He won last year dammit, and I supported him, but this year, in the spirit of rooting for underdogs, I am going to vote for other people... sorry Dean.

There's a Merlin section as well this year, but Arthur is losing to Merlin... I'm not sure whether to agree to that... and the girls are fading badly. Where is the women power, people WHERE IS IT?!

Maybe I should have thought more carefully before casting my votes. Oh dear. *weeps copious tears*

This is not going to be good for my sanity.

I have the will power of a damp rag

In other words I have crumbled to my own internal pressure twice this week already.

I might, possibly, have bought Fringe S1 with money that I cannot afford to spend.

I might also, possibly, have signed up for reel_merlin again, for Pleasantville and Endless Waltz (Don't ask - I want Merlin with MECHA dangnabbit!) which means that a great deal of my energy is being filtered into comparing G-Wing verse with Merlin-verse and ironing out the kinks... well, some of the kinks.

I'm pretty much going to be writing Gundam Wing fic with Merlin characters. This is going to end badly.

As for Pleasantville? The awesomeness that is that film will no doubt be destroyed by me, but UTHER BOWLING PEOPLE! UTHER BOWLING!

So... a checklist of stuff I have to write:

-Marauder Big Bang
-Pleasantville fic
-Endless Waltz fic
-Fringe fic that came to me as I woke up yesterday morning. (I kid you not, it has a fully formed outline and everything, which is more than I have of anything else. And there will be brutalness and trousers of time and Walter will get to bring out his LSD)
-Oh, and I have no idea what's going on with Redux, because apparently it's all taking place over at AO3 now, which is wonderful, except I'm waiting for a sodding invitation and so am still very much in the dark. It's my favourite fic-a-thon thing, grr.
-Box of Magic will be returning shortly

And of course, all of this is overlapping with FANDOM MARCH MADNESS which starts... tomorrow I think.

Supernatural Season 6?!?!?

Okay, so Season 6 is confirmed... I...

I have been gearing myself up for the end of Spn for two years now and I am actually... not sure what I think about more. I mean, I hate it when shows end, and if they've got Kripke, Jensen and Jared (and Misha, please God, let Castiel stay on after the apocalypse) then it will almost definitely be worth watching.

However, I do wonder how much further you can go in the battle between good and evil than Angels vs. Humans vs. the Devil... We have horsemen, we have an apocalypse... what's next.

I have a feeling that s6 Spn may be akin to s6 Buffy - where in Season 5 they go so all out that in s6 they decide to do a quieter, more understated plot arc and people think it doesn't work (S6 of Buffy does work when you watch it the second time and pay specific attention to Willow's deterioration, plus it had the musical episode).

Anyway - yay! Show!
But I'm feeling a little anticlimactic...

Otherwise, I have begun rewatching Bleach, which means I have dusted off the Urahara hat... although I had forgotten the bloody Bount cycle. Gah... but I have to work my way through it because I know there are a couple of cool Soul Society scenes and y'know, Rukia's back, as well as Ishida's powers and stuff.

But still... Lilin/Ririn... and the bloody Bount.

(Nova is the only thing that really makes this worthwhile...)

Anyone who knows me and has seen this episode will know exactly what I'm going to say next.

ZOMG!

^_^ EEEEeeee! I loved it.

Time travel.

John Winchester (I love him, I love him, I love him, I love him) becing all sweet and then being all determined and saying he was going to turn the car around! JOHN WINCHESTER IS LOVE PEOPLE!

Mary! (Fighting an angel and holding her own for more than five seconds, finding out that they were her sons, singing Hey Jude, angels watching over you, determined not to leave John... not taking no for an answer)

CASTIEL! (Sam Winchester is my friend. I'm better than I expected, coughing blood, letting them come along even though he knew it would almost kill him. Being generally AWESOMESAUCE! 'I do not get that reference' ^_^)

SAM'N'DEAN (Just generally)

Uriel... is always worth some win.

ANNA... not evil just Glenn Close psycho. (Bunny boiling comments are also made of win.)

And... MICHAEL! Who I love... Michael is awesomesauce too... Michael rocks muchly and Michael!John = Five different types of awesomesauce.

All four of them in the Impala... WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN.

Did I mention recently how much WIN was in this episode.

I am incapable of being coherent.

Supernatural is back to rocking my world (although where is that bloody apocalypse? Lucifer just raised DEATH dudes...)

Of course, this means I have to get my apocafic finished, and it'll be running at the same time as remix and... this is a bad idea, isn't it?

I have a strange feeling I'm going to be writing a take off of Enid Blyton.
Merlin 2x12

And my parents said it wasn't a very good episode... admittedly, they don't like Merlin and haven't really seen enough of it to gauge what a bad episode is (I am looking at several of you early season 2 episodes).

Okay problems I think the writers are coming up against:

1. As everyone else and their mother has pointed out: if Merlin had just told Morgana earlier and told her about him as well then they could have settled down and said 'Arthur will be King one day and everything will be hunky dory and right with the world, let's work together to make that happen.' *sigh* Writers are jerks.

2. They haven't really set up the dragon as evil, so having all of this foreshadowing is coming a little out of nowhere to me. He has actually been helping Merlin. freedom isn't too much to ask. He appears on the surface to be quite dedicated to the cause of uniting Albion... I know Merlin is angry because he was OMGSHOCKZORZ! that the Dragon might want, y'know, to not be locked up in a cave for all eternity... but that is because Merlin is a muppet with very little brain. (I am almost 100% certain that all there is in his head is fluff).

Actually about the episode

1. I am not going to get into the whole Merlin poisoning Morgana thing... I'm not. It makes me sad, though I see why it happened. I wanted him to have a chance to explain and everything is going to be HORRIBLE from now on because I am NEVER GOING TO SEE my awesome kickass smiling and good Morgana again, who was my favouritest, favouritest character... but I don't think I can ever like Merlin quite as much again either. It's like the end of Torchwood all over again (only I sadly think this was in character)... Morgana was old enough to know, she was old enough to understand. Couldn't he have said something like... 'you're the source' after she looked at him. or even 'I'm sorry...' ANYTHING, it would have been trite, it would have been cliche but it would have shown her a little bit that there was purpose there.

I said I wasn't going to get into that...

2. If I need a servant in the next life. Arthur=Win. Epic crush is more epic... there is nothing quite like last minute I'm about to die heroically humour.

3. WHERE DID MY FUN SATURDAY NIGHT SHOW GO!

4. Arthur patching Merlin up = win!

5. I MEAN IT! WHERE WAS THE CAMP FUN?!

As you may have guessed, I am in two minds about this one. I liked the episode. I thought it was well done, but it brings me GREAT MENTAL PAIN AND EMOTIONAL ANGUISH (capitals necessary there) It just... I... Merlin killed her... slowly, with poison and she knows and now she's definitely going dark side only I'm not sure which is the dark side any more. I think that Merlin's being corrupted as well and Arthur is the only decent character in the whole fucking show.

Seriously...

Uther: crazy and merciless
Morgana: Twisted and turning her back on people she cares about (though now with good reason)
Gwen: Is not in love with Arthur and keeps playing with him and is becoming annoyingly self-righteous
Lancelot: Well, he's not really in it enough to count.
Merlin: Has decided that he makes the decisions about who lives and dies.
Gaius: Moral minefield.
Arthur: Just trying to keep people safe.

This is mad... and I just... I want happy fun times.

And somehow I doubt I'm getting them next week.

Why has iplayer not got the dl up yet? I DON'T WANT TO STREAM IT!

(Today has been... annoying. In addition to layout fail and Merlin fail, Ali went out of strictly, which was also failage of the highest kind. I should not support anyone, ever. If I support someone it is the kiss of death. Laila went out last week... Ali this week. Grr. After a perfect 50 points as well. Arse. In addition Mum felt the need to remind me that, in the great scheme of things, it didn't matter. I know it doesn't matter in the great scheme of things, but in the great scheme of things nothing matters and I enjoy getting involved in TV land... it's more fun than just sitting watching it.)

So IRRITATING

Okay, so I don't watch Merlin on TV, but iplayer it because my parents don't like it and watching things with my parents when they don't like them is basically asking to listen to a commentary on how bad things are and then have my Dad walk out laughing in a derisive way before Mum looks at me like I'm some kind of idiot.

Example - my Dad standing in the doorway when I'm watching Supernatural saying 'have they found the holy six-gun yet?' 'Oh, is that the holy Bowie knife, how very American...' 'Of course he's an angel. Don't worry in the end they'll blow something up and everything will be alright.'

I'm not even paraphrasing with most of that. He will stand there, say 'oh it'll all end up alright in the end,' huff in amusement while shaking his head and then walk out. It kind of ruins the whole atmosphere, if you get what I mean. Plus, Mum will want to talk to me about something or other - probably the dishes.

And Mum refuses to leave the living room, so it's not like I can even get them to go somewhere else. I'd watch it in the kitchen, but they'd be in and out making tea and stuff.

So... I don't watch Merlin with them. They don't like it, they don't get why I like it. So I am polite. I wait until they go to bed, get out my headphones and watch it in here... on media player. And it's not that much fun.

I avoid BBC1 for the entire time it's on to avoid spoiling myself.

So, today, I come on here and change my layout while Merlin's on, and fiddle around, because that's easier than being in the living room because Mum always switches onto BBC1 when channel hopping. I hear the theme tune, but my parents don't like Merlin... so they're about to turn over no doubt... They DON'T LIKE IT - I can't stress that enough.

Irritated with LJ, I go to see what they are doing. One look at the screen and I see BRADLEY FUCKING JAMES! Then my Mum turns round to me, spoils me and smiles... it's over fifteen minutes in. I can't sit down and watch it because I've missed the beginning.

MY PARENTS DON'T LIKE MERLIN! What are they doing WATCHING IT?

WITHOUT ME?!

I just know when I go in to watch Strictly (yes, I watch strictly... your point is?) one or other of them will laugh and make a comment about the episode and I will have to stop myself from yelling at them because then they will laugh at ME.

Okay, so my infuriated growling and yelling when I walked in on them might have been a little over the top, but if they actually LIKED the show then they could have told me before now... or they could have CALLED TO ME TO COME AND WATCH IT WITH THEM.

This is such a trivial thing, but right now my job sucks, I'm beginning to see the rest of my life stretching ahead of me as an unending repetition of doing something I hate just so I can survive (and there is NO END IN SIGHT) and, because of hiatus in the states, the one time I get to get out of my fucking life is sodding Merlin and they've just...

Grrr...

I am too obsessed with television, I really am. But I... every week I watch it in the middle of the night when I'm tired, on an uncomfortable chair, through headphones just so that they don't have to watch or clear out of the living room, to avoid arguments over why it is actually a fun, enjoyable show, not just crap, Dad. And then they're lying on the sofa watching it and...

I get that I don't make as big a fuss about it as my brother makes about Dr Who (he really does... and he's 25 years old ^_^) but I love this show. And now I am sitting here knowing that it's on in the other room, but it's the last ten minutes, and knowing that my parents know exactly what's going to happen when they don't even care.

Anyway... maybe I'm just being stupid... but it really pisses me off.

/rant

LJ issues

Just changed my layout because well, the old one was crap, I'd had it since I got my livejournal (Years and years and years) and I wanted a festive picture. However, this also means (which I forgot because... well, I haven't changed my lj style since I got it!) that my friends page has changed. I used to have everyone colour coded and I could easily skip to entries I wanted to see.

However, since this is the only layout where I can put an image in the title section, that I can find, and this one does not allow colour coded friends as far as I can tell, I can no longer do that and just LOOKING at my flist makes my brain all confuzzled...

But I like my snowman.

This is highly irritating.

You know how when you have nothing to do you can't think of anything to do and things just get boring, and there is no inspiration? And you know how when you have a dozen things to do, suddenly there is too much inspiration in the world and you keep sidetracking onto things that have NO PURPOSE other than to make you behind on everything else.

I hate that.

(80 minutes on a train a day means I am filling notebooks very quickly with half finished fic and original ideas... *sigh* If I could just finish something, then I would be happy, as it is I have two things half written for the merlin fic battle - why oh why did someone post a Merlin/Discworld fusion fic and why am I researching it... I KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ANKH MORPORK CITY WATCH THAN MOST PEOPLE THINK EXISTS (in. now its history... *facepalm* and I'm going Christmas Shopping with my dad in five minutes - YAY! for Christmas traditions - there will be fudge, there is always fudge. JOY!)

At what point does epic become too epic?

Work is better when I have something to do.

One question though: how long is too long for a fic. At what point would people start looking at the word count and saying 'frell me, I'm not going to bother reading that dren!' and refuse to click the link.

63k seems alright, seeing as that was how long Camelot's Sweethearts was, but can you go much longer than that without people seeing it as too much hard work?

Is there a different length for different types of fic? Are people more likely to read a long fluffy romance or a long plotty fic? Does inclusion of porn make a difference?

What this boils down to is: my apocabigbang fic looks to be growing to Wheel of Time, Sword of Truth, Biblical proportions. Will anyone actually bother to read it?

I know there are no real answers, but if anyone has insight into the hearts and minds of the Merlin fandom, please feel free to clue me in.

So, yet another day with no work to do. Seriously, I might actually be glad I'm not being paid right now because I would feel like I'm cheating them out of money. My boss is ill today and still hasn't got back to me about the stuff I've written (which he has had since Friday) and I have nothing else lined up for me. This also means that I can't ask him about working from home tomorrow for my driving lesson.

*sigh*

Not that I'm complaining really. It has given me time to work on my fic for apocabigbang and Arthur and Merlin are finally about to meet (I'm only 14k words in... it's not like they took a long time or anything. *sigh* I sense serious editing to be done).

I actually like what I'm writing for it as well. I have killed off so many people but it is the apocalypse, after all. People are supposed to die. Horribly... and have their intestines torn out... and be burnt to death...

Anyway, I should get back to 'work'... maybe I'll finally find something to do.

Oh, and because my computer was screwing up yesterday and wouldn't let me post it:

krazykipper is MADE OF PURE AWESOME and a BRILLIANT, EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL person. There should be songs written expanding on this point... an epic poem penned listing all manner of heroic deeds.

That is all.

EDIT: apparently it did post yesterday, ah well, it bears saying again.

Merlin 2x09

Not 'as I watch' today because I have decided that I will watch an episode of Merlin ALL THE WAY THROUGH WITHOUT PAUSING... which I didn't manage, but I did only pause it twice, which is a great improvement on the week before last and the week before that.

MY general reaction to that post is AWW. No seriously, there was so much aww in this episode I was beginning to think that I was getting soft. I looked at a few pictures of small cats, had no fluffy feelings whatsoever and decided it must just be the fact that Merlin (character not just show) was utter adorkable this week. I love him. Although I am beginning to be creeped out a little because, from certain angles, Colin Morgan looks a bit like my brother.

Freya was made of win and I really liked her. Although there was a distinct lack of Morgana which I felt like a BURNING. I really need to start a campaign for more kick-ass Morgana, we are severely lacking this series.

Alright things I LOVED:
- The obscene amounts of Merlin doing magic.
- HALF NAKED ARTHUR IN A TOWEL! Fanservice quotient for the YEAR there. And then BATH! Guh... just Guh.
- Canon evidence of Merlin heating Arthur's bathwater with magic and of Merlin being PRESENT for Arthur's baths. My shipper heart is squeeing out of control.
- Arthur getting fat. rofl
- Musical Merlin
- CAMELOT NAKED BECAUSE OF A MOTH INFESTATION! THIS NEEDS TO BE FIC - YESTERDAY!
- Crossdressing Merlin!
- Singing Merlin in love. He would be one of those obnoxious ones. ^_^
- The funeral scene was beautiful.
- THAT FINAL SCENE! THOSE ARE MY BOYS!
- Did I mention half naked Arthur in a towel? Yes? It needs to be said again. ARTHUR was HALF-NAKED in a TOWEL. Dude! I think Bradley James must be enjoying getting his top off. Not that I'm complaining... not at all. World needs more half-naked Arthur.

Other interesting things:
- Merlin has two jackets?
- Merlin has started colour coordinating his neckerchiefs and shirts, I'm sure last year he alternated them.
- Arthur's 'Oh shit, Daddy's going to go crazy again' look. (the scene where Uther says 'it must be a magical creature, just watch Arthur's face. It is made of win. Perhaps this should be in the earlier list... ah well, it's here now.)
- The bells.
- Soldiers can really scream well.
- The Bounty Hunter's knives.
- Merlin having to choose between Arthur and Freya and... sort of not.

I think that's all. Though I may need to rewrite some parts of my apocafic to bring in new canon. *sigh*

That last scene... 'was it me throwing the water over you?' and Arthur making Merlin smile and then saying 'that's better' Oh God, those writers can be brilliant sometimes. That scene is love, in so many ways.

And that definitely is all.

Supernatural 5x10 and other things.

I should warn you first that I LOVED THIS EPISODE - not the best ever, but it was quite high. However, on the other hand I am ANGRY.

Not at Kripke, but because people are going to start going on about feminism fail again and I DON'T THINK IT WAS. Sam and Dean cannot really be killed off... I know they come back, but they can't die in a blaze of glory because the show is ABOUT THEM. True, Rufus could have been there, but the audience isn't as emotionally invested in him.

Someone had to die. It's the apocalypse, it was a town ruled by the devil, if no one had died then it would have been trite, underplanned and deus ex machina. I like Jo, and Ellen (drinking contest with Castiel ftw) and I liked that they gave Jo a backbone. I'm upset that they died. I know the show is male dominated, but that's because that's the type of show it is and also because most female characters that are shown on it are badly received by the fans.

Killing off Ellen as well was something they wrote themselves into. Someone had to make sure that Jo pushed the button and push it if she died too soon. Someone had to let the hell hounds in. Dean and Sam being main characters couldn't. Bobby is now in a wheelchair and I liked Castiel's conversation with Lucifer and I think it was a long time coming, so both of them were out of the picture.

Anyway, that small rant over: I wanted more Tessa. Where was she, or was she one of the old dudes?

I thought the camera shots of Castiel where he was moving seamlessly from one place to the next (particularly through the window one) were EPIC and reminded me of good Horror/Fantasy films. (So much love for the direction this week!)

The picture is epic, though I agree with people that I did not know why they burnt it? Simulation of a funeral? Hunters do all get burned after all.

Lucifer is awesome, Castiel being awesome was awesome, Meg being awesome was awesome.

Crowley... CROWLEY! Somewhere around there was Aziraphale shaking his head and drinking tea while saying 'You know, you really shouldn't toy with them like that. They might be morons but at least in their car the music isn't all performed by Freddie Mercury. *sigh* We really need to do something about this apocalypse thing.'

'What do you suggest? We go up to Lucifer and ask really, really nicely whether he'll stop breaking Michael's toys just because he's jealous.'

'I was thinking more you speaking to him. He is on your side, after all.'

'I think you'll find he's on your side actually.'

'Ah... a little like Milton Keynes then?'

'Or the Spanish Inquisition. What I wouldn't give to be back in the fourteenth century. At least when things were boring there wasn't an apocalypse going on every other year.'

'My side thinks it helps keep us on our toes. We know we'll win of course.'

'My side thinks that it's all part of the master plan.'

'Well, it is.'

'That would be the Ineffable Master Plan, would it?'

'Mmhmm...'

'I hate the Ineffable Master Plan.'

'Perhaps we should have another word with the Winchesters. I really don't think it's fair to leave them to do all of this on their own.'

'They'll be fine, angel. And, like I told them, I need to go on extended vacation without leaving a forwarding address. If the colt didn't work then Lucifer's going to be pissed.'

'Ah well... I'm sure they'll figure things out on their own eventually. It is all part of the plan.'

'The Ineffable Master Plan.'

'Yes...'

'Let's get out of here then. But I choose the destination.'

-

That got a little away from me. *facepalm* What was I saying again? Oh yeah - Death Awesome, Crowley Awesome, Lucifer Awesome. I cried when Jo died. Slightly puzzled by where the angels weren't and why the Reapers, who I've always seen as Neutral forces, now seem to be coming down on the side of evil. *sigh* I've never really considered the horsemen of the apocalypse evil, just the essence of stuff, having them being called forth by the devil is making me a little uncomfortable.

Yup. That's all of that except:

Hiatus until 21st Jan '10. What is that all about? That is far too long. Far, far too long.

In other things: I should never be allowed on the RSC site, I spent about ten minutes on there and I have already decided that I need to see Arabian Nights, As You Like It and Morte D'Arthur (Seriously need to see that. My Arthuriana geek (and my Merlin geek) are jumping around happily). Admittedly you can get reasonable tickets for £20, but still. I like theatre too much, and I like Shakespeare FAR too much (and As You Like It is my favourite play and I've only ever seen it in German.)

So yes, in June and July I am planning to start becoming an avid theatre goer.

Merlin 2x07

MERLIN IS AN IDIOT! Arthur was right all along. Merlin should be LOCKED UP for his own safety.

'HOW MANY TIMES MUST I TELL YOU TO KEEP YOUR MAGIC SECRET!' Says the man who's yelling about it before the door's even closed. Gaius... -_-;; Seriously, half the servants of Camelot must already know about it, and the other half are probably deaf and blind.

'The fair...' Significant pause and look at Arthur. The Witchfinder has a crush, how nice.

I like him... he let's people get up and then says 'for now' His timing is exquisite. He is who I aspire to be (okay, so that sounds a little scary... I'll rethink this at the end of the episode EDIT: rethought... I want his attitude, not so much to be like him. But he is a manipulative bastard and I do love a good manipulative bastard.)

I WANT A DANCING FIRE GOBLIN! FOR REAL PPL. Also, there should be fic of this.

And who else saw this sorcerer vomiting toads? Methinks the evidence of this incident is lacking.

Morgana looks scared. I wonder if she's been conjuring fire dancing goblins recently.

Unpopular opinion here but GAIUS YOU ARE WONDERFUL! I know it doesn't quite make up for sacrificing his friends to Uther's pyres, but Gaius *hugs*.

You never expect the Witchfinder Inquisition. His main weapon is surprise... suprise and fear. His two main weapons are fear, surprise and ruthless efficiency. Three, his three main weapons are surprise, fear, ruthless efficiency and a total dedication to the <strike>King</strike> money. His four main weapons are surprise, fear, a ruthless efficiency, a total dedication to the <strike>King</strike> money and a nice red uniform... oh wait, that's the Knights of Camelot - I'll go out and come in again.

YOU NEVER EXPECT THE WITCHFINDER INQUISITION!

Arthur, kill him already... and Morgana, he's just a man, a silly little man and you are awesome. Kick his arse metaphorically with your awesomeness.

Gaius it's a TRICK. It's a TRICK!

And now... the FLUFFY CUSHIONS! Confess, CONFESS! CONFESS! No, not the fluffy cushions!

Gaius: I am a sorcerer.
Merlin: NO! I am a sorcerer!
Morgana: NO I AM A SORCERER!
Gwen: NO! I AM A SORCERER!
Arthur: NO! I AM SPARTACUS...
Everyone else: O.o;;
Arthur: Whoops... wrong script.

Uther is an idiot. How many times have we said 'trust Gaius'... it's like Arthur and Merlin. DUDE! GILES!

NO ONE EXPECTS THE WITCHFINDER INQUISITION... That didn't half make me jump. MORGANA!

Ah Merlin, you've been to the Winchester school of stealth I see. Lesson one Always look like you're trying not to be noticed... the more obvious you make it that you're out of place, the better.

Srsly? Using magic in the Witchfinder's quarters? Merlin... did you have to study to be that brain dead or did it just come naturally?

Mmhm... the Winchester school of stealth. How to hide behind curtains really badly is one of their most oversubscribed modules... along with how to smile with forced innocence and how to whistle in a way that says 'I'm just minding my own business, la-la la-la laaa.'

Hi there awesome Gwen... we haven't seen much of you recently what with you being the focus of a love triangle and all.

Okay... a) those aren't belladonna petals, b) Episode 2 of season 1 Merlin learnt never to leave the only witness to a crime alone c) I don't have a c, but these things should come in threes.

Alright... performing sorcery in the Witchfinder's chambers when the witchfinder is there... new low on the intelligence scale, Merlin. This man is not Arthur, he is not gaily oblivious to everything (or possibly very good at pretending not to know things).

Oh... Merlin, I see what you did there... Very droll, writers, very droll.

Leave Arthur to me? Gwen... am I going to have to point out that you are not allowed to use the Prince's love for you when you know that you're in love with someone else? Again?

UTHER CAN'T WATCH GAIUS DIE! I love this... I do.

Okay Gwen, for that speech, I forgive you... you are awesome.

GAIUS/UTHER MOMENT!

Did Gaius just dismiss the King... I think Gaius just dismissed the King. And people say Gaius doesn't rock.

*jaw drops* Dude... next week! NEXT WEEK! SUPERNATURAL, DOCTOR WHO AND A MERLIN EPISODE LIKE THAT... AND I'M IN DURHAM! Next week rocks!

Seriously, is next week here yet?

ETA: Just opened a Merlin fic window and the ad at the top was 'Should you be buying stocks right now?' EPIC WIN!

Supernatural 5x08

YAY! I watched it and it was EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS I KNEW IT WOULD BE FROM THE SNEAK PEAK. Heh, look at that, I'm still shifting away.

DEAN NEEDS A BIGGER MOUTH! THEY RIDE A TANDEM AND TINY LITTLE BIKE THINGS! They must have had so much fun shooting that credit sequence. And Dean's mancrush... and the references to all the medical shows. ^_^ DUDE.

And the question that Dean answered yes to.. That was painful, and he didn't even know what he was saying.

Castiel was back. *dances with joy* and so was the Trickster - we're getting to that bit, I swear. There will be more dancing, but first: CSI RIP OFF FTW! 'No guts, no glory!' <-worst line ever, ever, ever... but great. It was just like an episode long gag-reel. ^_^ Joy.

AND THE SAMPALA! I loves it... although the Impala having a male voice is wrong, but still... ^_^

Okay, now we're getting to the big thing that made me unbelievably happy: THE TRICKSTER IS GABRIEL!

I didn't exactly call it. So, there's no 'I told you so dance' but it was pretty darn close, you have to admit that... It's probably better than him being God, though. And I still love him, even as petulant child angel him. *tackleglomps* He made a hulk - an actual hulk, not a stupid film hulk. ^_^ Okay, so not a comic book hulk, but still! I love that the woman was almost as much of a geek about it as Dean.

I now want Gabriel to show up from time to time and say 'I'm not helping you, but, just so as you know, there's something you might want to look into down in *blah*, not that I'm helping you.' And fic where he takes Castiel out for a beer and Castiel says that Dean's done that before and the Trickster/Gabriel says 'but you've never been out for a beer with me before.

And then Bobby and Gabriel sit down and plot and right all of the wrongs of the world using poetic justice and everyone lives happily ever after.

The End.

Nano day 2

Woke up and hated what I'd written the day before. Then proceeded to write new stuff anyway and now three of my five main characters have been introduced (although the FMC is giving me trouble) and my amazingly cool Secondary-MMC is apparently harbouring a huge epic man crush on my MMC. This is hilarious because my MMC is really quite useless... and straight, while my 2MMC is actually quite awesome and he's the one that's going to do all the fighting (and get them out of one of the curses in an innovative and awesome manner) and has a back story with epic amounts of win in it. I think his man crush is probably his flaw as a character. That and his inability to do the sensible thing if he's ever faced with a risk... which might be the same thing. And also the fact that morally, he's not really on the good side. I always wanted to know why he was friends with my MMC and hadn't just killed him already, I guess this is why. It also explains... a hell of a lot.

Thing is, I didn't know about this until this morning, which sort of sucks...

My word count is doing okay, though. ^_^

(Oh yeah,
body count: 1
pepsi max drunk: 0
chocolate: I have a bar upstairs that I haven't opened yet

I expect the body cont to pick up a bit now that 2MMC is involved. There may be bandits in the next chapter. He's going to have fun!)
